St. Luke's Medical Center (COE)

"I can't say enough good things about my night nurses, they were absolutely wonderful. My day nurse however didn't speak english that well and she seemed forgetful. I would have to remind her several times about my requests and she would apologize for forgetting. I paid extra for a private room so that my husband could stay with me in the hospital. However, after asking many staff members, we never received a recliner or fold up bed for him to sleep on. So needless to say, I was pretty upset that I had wasted $164 for a private room for nothing. Also, this is the nosiest hospital that I've ever stayed in. At 6am in the morning and at 9pm at night, there was someone outside my door vacuuming! Couldn't that have been done at a better time! I kept closing my door because of the noise and staff would walk in and say oh wrong room and walk out leaving the door open. This was very frustrating considering it was painful for me to get out of bed to close it again. The beds and most medical equipment are not for obese patients. I had to get two upper GI's and my body barely fit on the thing, so there was no room for my arms. And I'm one of the smaller bariatric patients. Clearly, the hospital needs to invest in machines build for overweight patients, if they are going to operate a bariatric wing. "

Pure Whey Protein Stack

"I absolutely love the banana scream flavor. It mixes instantly and even taste great with just water. "

Daniel Fang

"Dr Fang seems very nice and was willing to answer all my questions. He was a bit distracted but I was his last appointment for the day. So, far I have had a positive experience with him and his staff. His office and the hospital is quite run down but they are moving to a different building the middle of March. rnrnWe didn't really talk much about their aftercare program but I didn't specifically ask about it either. I've read so much on the boards here and figured it would be discussed in further detail at the \"teaching day\" and ABC classes. rnrnAfter deciding to find a new surgeon (didn't want to wait 4 more months for surgery with Dr Blackstone), I decided on Dr Fang based on the wonderful feedback I read from his former patients. It's really important to me that my doctor not only be competent but also have a good bedside manor. I believe from what I read that Dr Fang has both qualities. rnrnrn"

Katherine D. Emershad

"Dr Emershad is extremely nice, knowledgable and understanding. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She has been wonderful in preparing me on how and what to eat after my surgery. I couldn't be happier to have her as my nutritionist!"
