Im getting more and more excited!!! I have 2 days until my Pre-Op appointment and only 8 days until surgery day, YAY!!! So hard to believe I started this whole process on August 6th and now I will be having my RNY surgery on Nov 3rd! Isn't that just amazing???!!!??? I am still stuck at only 12lbs lost but at least I lost the 10lbs my doctor suggested I loose before surgery, I am hoping to loose a few more once I start the pre-op diet. Fingers crossed!

Surgery will be here before I Know it!!! :) I have 8 days until pre-op visit and then surgery on Nov 3rd. I am still holding steady at 12lbs lost so far, I need to lose 8 more before surgery day. Im getting more and more excited but yet it all still seems so surreal. Im sure as I get closer the anxiety will kick in, but I can honestly say, Im ready! :)

so this morning I weighed in at 287 (YAY!) I have now lost 12lbs. Dr Nease had said that he wanted me to lose at least 10lbs before my surgery, which is scheduled for Nov 3rd, but im doing so well I may just try to hit that 20lb mark, because he said "if" I could lose 20lbs that would be better for me during surgery since I have a fatty liver. I have 18 days till surgery, so I think I may be able to lose 8 more pounds in 18 days. :) just gotta stay positive!

Im getting more and more excited but with that the anxiety is building! Im trying to just go day to day, but I think about it every day, im excited and pray all goes well. I will be starting to make a list of the things I need to get for my 1st two weeks home that are my "allowed" liquids list. and get ready to order the UNJURY protein powders and chicken mix. I also saw a list somewhere online on things to take to the hospital (espec. for weight loss) ill have to find that list again. it seemed helpful from what I can recall.

The Dr office called me back stating she contacted my insurance and they stated that the sleeve is considered an exclusion that I will have to have the RNY, which is what I have been leaning towards the whole time anyway, she said she will have to run it by the Dr and make sure he is still okay doing the RNY since he had planned on doing the sleeve in my 1st visit, but all should still be ok.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!Just got the call, surgery is scheduled for Nov. 3rd and the pre op class/visit is on Oct 28th at 11 and 1230 then ill go to the hospital for labs etc. Its all beginning to sink in now and seem REAL. getting a little nervous, 24 days and counting! but yet im still EXCITED!!!!! :)

As of yesterday, I was able to get my LAST AND FINAL flow sheet filled out and faxed into Dr. Nease. YAY!! THE PROCESS IS COMPLETE! Now I get to play the waiting game once again. They said I have to wait until Dr Nease looks thru my file and signs off on it then they will contact me with the pre-op class/pre-op visit appointment and surgery appointment, so im praying it wont be long!!!!! so excited!!!

I called my surgeon's office today to check the status of my paper work etc. I am only waiting on the psych eval report to be faxed to him now and then attend the Nutrition class on this coming Monday and Im done with all the requirements (YAY!!!!) When I called his office they told me I DO NOT have an approval period for my insurance (AWESOME!!!!!) that I just have to attend the class on Monday and then if they get my psych eval report by next Friday that they will be able to go ahead and schedule my surgery appointment!!!! (WHOOOOHOOOOO!!) I AM SUPER EXCITED, as if you cant tell :) So with that said, fingers crossed that they will receive the fax on Monday while im there for the nutrition class from 9a-1pm and I can get scheduled for surgery while im there. Things have been going along pretty good and now I get this news today, I am one happy chic!!!!

Had my 1st consultation yesterday with my sister, we are doing this together, I was a little nervous, didn't know what to expect, but all in all it went pretty good, I have to get my PCP to amend her flow sheets from my 6 visits since she left out some info the insurance will need to get the surgery approved. so im battling with the PCP office today to get her signature on the updated flow sheets, so fingers crossed by this evening ill have that done. :) Im excited to have taken the next step. I am scheduled for the 4 hour nutrition class Oct 6th :) and after that class and they receive my office note from the psych eval and these updated flow sheets I will be ready to start the insurance approval process (YAY!!) So things are moving along, cant wait!!!! :)

I finally got the psych eval finished up, I ended up having to have "2parts" which consisted of the 1st part talking with the doctor then coming back another day to do a "test" which was really just a true/false questions about yourself AKA personality test. So that is finished. They said should have it reviewed and the consult typed up and sent to Dr. Nease by 2 weeks (YAY!!). And now in 2 days will be my 1st consultation with Dr. Nease!!!! (Im so excited!!!!) Ive been waiting on this day to come for so long, which it seems like it has been forever. I cant wait to see what the next steps are. :) I have already been told that on Tuesday before I leave the consultation that they will make the appointment(s) with the Nutritionist so I know that's coming soon :)
