Sept 2012 Blog Update

Sep 23, 2012

Hard to beleive that it has been 2 years since I got the call about being accepted into the program.  I can remember the Food Funeral like it was yesterday. I would so have this surgery in a heartbeat again.

I lost the most amount of weight during the first 12 months and I was stuck at 197lbs for a while past that.

This month I decided to forget the VSG and eat what I wanted!  Everyday I would stop at the local 7-11 and pick up a Apple Fritter and 2 Monster Zer0's(no calories in the drink so they are ok).  I would eat the fritter all day and drink both energy drinks my noon, Then eat my usual at 5pm for dinner.  Well it worked I weighed in at 191lbs this morning. 23 days into the new diet and it seems  to be working for ME. (6 pounds down)

I am not the person to follow post-op as I am not doing things by the book.(or lack there of).

Update on Skin Issues:  My GP is documenting all incidents/accidents that occur with my extra skin. I will be challenging MB Health to have my surgery covered.  Arm fat is getting caught and stabbed on trees/shrubs and not mention how much it hurts to pull start the equipment all day long for my job.  The pain is incredible when the fat swings almost all the way around.

Update on *Wrinkles"  Wow it is amazing how many I have since My body shrunk and head grew. I wake up every morning and look into that mirror and think..maybe Prep H might work.  If it shrinks those things in/on your butt, then maybe it will reduce the bags under my eyes.

Update on Iron Level  *TMI *  I have always had very very heavy periods and since VSG surgery my iron levels have dropped even lower.  This month was 7.  I am scheduled for a removal of the uterus!!  Yahoo.
