I am just getting started in this process and I am a little (well a lot really) scared, but excited too. I have been overweight most of my life. I struggled with my weight in high school and then after I had my first son (at 18) I just have never been at a healthy weight. I am 44 years old and married for the 2nd time. I have a son, 25, and twin sons who are 22. I have 2 grandchildren ages 2 & 1 and 3 more on the way. One of my daughter-in-laws is expecting their 2nd in October and my other daughter -in-law is expecting twins in December and they already have a 2 year old! God has blessed me so richly with a wonderful family and I want to be around to help take care of them and watch them grow! I have type II diabetes, high blood pressure, RA, and fibromyalgia. I am just praying that everything works out and that I can have the surgery and get healthy. I honestly can't remember what it is like to feel good for any length of time. Please pray for me as I begin this journey. I have attended the information session and submitted my paperwork, but have not recieved a consultation appointment yet.
