Bombed At Drs Appt/Did Good at Nut Appt

I was three pounds short of goal at my doc appointment on Friday. He said I need to get down to 380 before my next appointment with him in September. At my nutrition meeting the next Wednesday I was down to 380. (Evil salty Mexican food the night before the doc appt an issue -- don't know.)

So, lost weight from here to September will be bonus. Surgery maybe before Christmas?? We'll see - have to get through all the wickets.

I'm doing 30 mins a day on my recumbent bike. Tomorrow I'm going to up the resistance on it one level. The exercise is making it easier to eat well. Now i just have to make sure to have good stuff in the house and remember to take it to work.

I bought WLS for Dummies. I've read about half of the first chapter. So far, it is pretty interesting.


Here I Am!!

I finally signed up. I've been lurking for a while. I found this wonderful site doing some web searches and I came across someone who I've known for an incredibly long time. (I borrowed her First Communion dress when I was 8 in 1978.) 

She had her surgery in April. (Yay, Diana!!)

Since I started this with my current medical group, I've kind of been in a fog. Mom's been in and out of the hospital three times. 

I have moments where I'm all gung-ho and I measure out my food. And then the next morning you'd see me in the drive thru at Jack-In-The-Box getting some evilness and justifying it to myself as **I need protein.**

I have an appointment with my doc on Friday. When I saw him last (early May) he told me to buy a recumbent bike (done) and lose 6 pounds (??). I've followed the nutritionist's plan for all of two days since mid-May. But I can feel some difference since I started using the bike about two weeks ago.
I hope I made 6!
