I'm having the gastric bypass on August 18th. Originally I wanted the sleeve, but due to all my Heath issues the surgeon and my other doctors recommended the bypass.  I'm ok with that. I want what will be the best for me. In 2004 I had the LapBand , and was very successful with it until 2010 when I developed an infection in the port and tubing. It was removed, and 100 pounds later here I am. I know how much work I am facing . I am ready to do what is necessary to get my health back, or at least a better quality of life than what I have right now.
