I am 24 years old, 5'9", and 337 lbs. I have been overweight my whole life. I have come to terms with the fact that I cannot lose this weight all by myself. I need a tool, and that is what the lapband will be for me. I chose the lapband because it is the least invasive and least expensive of all the WLS's. I realized recently that if I do not give this a try, I will most likely be much heavier, much more unhappy, and much more unhealthy years from now. Here's to taking a risk and a leap of faith!
