Hello to my wonderful friends and family. Happy Easter! I came home from the hospital on Friday afternoon(Good Friday to be exact!). Yes, it is wonderful to be home and to be on the losing side. I had my surgery on Monday,March 25th in Middletown,CT. I found the best surgeon and nurses and hospital in my opionion. My surgery took 2 1/2hrs. I have to tell you that my surgeon said my spleen was the size of a football and would not have been able to work with it in there, so it was a blessing he was removing it first. Then he had lots of room to move around in there. I counted yesterday... I have 36 staples! OH MY GOD!! I honestly think my incision looks like angle wings, but one wing is longer than the other. LOL He also put in a G-tube that is a blessing too, because I can open it and release pressure and bile from my large stomach that is still in there. I am doing good(that's what people are telling me)but I am not a patient person waiting on healing. The worst time is at night, when I want to sleep normal in my bed and be able to more better. I guess I must think of all of the staples! Yes, otherwise they will remind me.
Well, I am getting tired, but I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful words of inspiration! I was wonderful! I love you all, Happy Easter and God Bless you all!
