This has been a long journey. I have been overweight as long as I can remember, sure occasionally I have lost it but could never keep it off. I have gone up in weight since my first pregnancy at 17. I have been working on wls since 1999 and had a lot of problem along the way mainly with insurance. I have seen several doctors and every time I get close to surgery something happens. Once it was illness and the other 2 times my insurance has changed policy, I have spent most of the time on waiting list to even get into the programs. I have been busy working on life changes and the reasons I have had a weight problem so the time has not gone to waste. I know it will happen, just can't say when it will. I began this journey at 542 and now I weigh 486 so slowly it comes off. I look forward to surgery and seeing what happens then.
