Hi Lyn, What you are feeling is perfectly normal. We all went through it. Unlike heart surgery, we hve had time to do our homework and we have had the final say in having this surgery. If we had walked in and the doctor said, you need this surgery to save your life and I will schedule you for next week, we would not have blinked an eye. You are a very smart person. You just have to listen to your head and not your fear. LOL, get use to it. After surgery you will have to listen to your body and not your head as you retrain yourself to a new and healthy life. Relax, life is waiting and you will be fine. Pam German

Best wishes and extra prayers for smooth surgery and recovery. A positive mental attitude is your best preparation! You'll do great with this life-saving tool! We have almost all felt what you are going thru now. Grab your courage & faith and remember that you have chosen this step for a better life. It's a wonderful journey! Also- look for products with SPLENDA- check the splenda web page for specifics. This is your alternative to sugar/aspartane products.
