I had my surgery on Monday 4/6/09 in the afternoon.  I was able to come home on Wednesday around 2pm.  All went really well, according to the Dr.  I felt nauseous for a couple days and they gave me anti nausea meds.  I had a private room so it was really nice and i did many laps at Fair Oaks on the 5th floor. 5 laps= 1 mile they said. Well i know i did over a mile then. I came home and was still kind of sleepy and took a couple naps.  Thurdsday am i felt kind of nauseous and tried to drink as much as i could becuase i felt full and bloaty all day.. Friday i tried to eat some plain yogurt, not good cuz i threw up twice after that so back to the more clear stuff i went.  I stopped taking my hydrocodone pain meds before bedtime and Sat am i felt pretty good. Started taking my vitamins and got to intake 54oz of liquid a huge improvement from 27 the night before.  Been going out every so often and walking around my apt complex to keep me moving, however sleeping at night  just sucks. I am usually a stomach sleeper ,but obviously wont be able to do that for awhile. ..Well thats it for now. Right now they have me scheduled for my Post -op visit for Friday and i am gonna try to call monday and see if they can get me in earlier cuz i kind of wanna start my mushy/pureed foods. Don't wanna wait  11 days post op and have to return to work and try it there to see if it goes well.. It seems to be getting better a little every day slowly but surely i guess.....

The surgeons office just called me today and told me that my insurance approved my surgery and i have a date set for April 6th, 2009. At Inova Fair Oaks Hospital....
