I have reached the six month point of my pre-op journey as required by my health insurance. I have lost 31 lbs. and am on a C-Pap machine. The only thing holding me up is me. I can't seem to decide between the RNY and the VSG. The people at AMC can't talk me in or out of a particular one and that's fine, but I can't seem to make a decision on my own. I have an appointment with the surgeon next week to help me make a decision. Wish me luck!

I've been watching videos on YouTube to help me make a decision and I started watching all the videos of this girl from the beginning of her 10 day day pre-op liquid diet. This video of hers is excellent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8f3ylYemBA

I'll probably be having my surgery some time in March 2015, but I still am having trouble deciding which one to have. It's between the Gastric Sleeve and the Roux en Y. My mother had the Roux en Y done 2 years ago and is doing great. I'm trying to find websites and books helping me to compare the two, but it's not easy. My search continues.
