So I attended the class last Friday and although I don't think I learned anything new (I've done lots of research & have been reading these message boards for months...), I did come away with a firm decision that this is the right thing for me.  I'm actually starting to feel excited about what's to come.  I try to imagine a life free of this burden and I feel hopeful for the first time in a long time.

Had my surgery consult today.  No question in my mind I'm going to do this.  There's a possibility of an April surgery date.  I can't believe it could be that quick!  I'm going to be 40 this year and I told myself I would not be 40 and still battling this weight thing.  Of course, I told myself I wouldn't be 30 and still battling and...well, that didn't turn out so well.  But it's really a possibility that this surgery will once and for all help me win this war.  It's so close I can almost taste it.
