the last few days I have been craving Diet Coke, which was my daily drink. I know all of the reasons it's horrible, and I'm not going to give in, but if you all want to tell me how awful it is, that might help.

For the first time in a very long time, my BMI is in the "overweight" range instead of the "obese" range. I know that BMI is just one measure, but it feels good.

I struggle with just eating tuna, chicken salad, or egg salad by itself. I used to put it on a lettuce wrap. I am only four weeks post-op, so don't want to try lettuce yet, but wonder if that's something that would be VSG friendly down the road.

I am 17 days out from surgery. I can already fit into clothes that I haven't been able to wear in quite a while, and the pants keep falling down! I had some rough days in the beginning, but it is all worth it. I love that I am seldom hungry, and when

My surgery was 5/19/17. The gas pains in my body are gone, but I still belch and pass gas almost constantly. Does this get better as I am able to expand my diet?

surgery was yesterday. Definitely more pain today with even tiny sips of water. I know it's early, but I'm doubting my decision.

I'm having surgery next week. I've read everything I can read on the subject. Is there anything that you wish you had known?
