As of 2 days ago, I am down 58 pounds. I am feeling better and looking better. My goal is to be down 70 by 1-28-09. I will probably not make it, but every pound counts, especially since I won't see it again. Every time I have lost weight in the past, I saw the pounds again---plus more. The past 11 weeks has made me realize how very much I use to eat. I am still having a hard time when dipping my food. I tend to put way too much on my plate, of course I can not eat it . Then I feel really bad about wasting the food. I guess I will get better and put just a small amount on my plate. This will be the first full year since my surgery. I know it will be the NEW ME. I am so looking forward to this year.

As of yesterday I have lost 50 pounds. I was excited to begin a new year with a new me. This year will be the beginning of a totally new life. I am feeling much better. I am off all my blood pressure medications. I also no longer need to take pain meds to be able to function. I am however sore from all the exercising---which I haven't done in years. My 14 year old grandson, this past Sun. as we were getting ready for church, looked at me and said, "grandma, you are beginning to look skinny."  WOW--That made me feel great. Of course, I am a long way from being skinny. However, just for him to notice made my day! 

I first want to thank God for all the many blessings this year. I feel better this Christmas than I have in years. I am down 44 pounds. I am down from a size 5X/34 to a size 2X/24, which I haven't worn in over 6-7 years. My grandchildren think I look great and that alone makes me feel great! I won't mind taking pictures with them this year.

It has taken me years to get into this shape and it will take a while before I get into shape. It's been 5 weeks since surgery and I am down 34 pounds from my 384 on surgery date. I will see Dr. S. tomorrow and get my official weight loss. However, I am already begging to smile because I have gone from 5x to a size 3x with just the 34 pounds. It will be really nice if I can be in a size 2x by the beginning of next year.

Today is Nov. 25th. I will be 51 tomorrow. I had RNY on Oct.27th and right now I am down 29 pounds. I feel better than I have in a very long time. I intend to spend tomorrow cooking Thanksgivimg dinner for the family. It will be the first time ever that I don't keep tasting everything. Good thing I have years of practice.
