where did 2009 go?

I can't believe it's been over 1 year since I've made my last post. It was a very good year. I did have some weight gain. I found that going back on carbs is probably the culprit. I was eating yogurt, fruit, whole grains and even had the occasional bag of potato chips and piece of cake (We have cake once a month at work to celebrate birthdays)  I have now cut back on my carb intake, drastically, and hope that eating no oatmeal, whole wheat anything and nothing white will help me drop about 15 lbs. I did very well going to the gym, almost daily since  I last wrote, but have slacked off the past month to concentrate on my food intake. I started writing down everything. I realized I was eating well over 100 grams of carbs but less than 200. Way too much! I was pretty good with my protein and needed to work on my fluid intake. I found a spiral bound book named "DietMinder Personal Food & Fitness Journal" thru Amazon. It has really helped me get back on track. I have been in ketosis for about a week now and will return to the gym in a day or two. We'll see how that goes. I still feel great and I am in good health but I do not like the fact that my medium size scrubs have become a little snug, as well as my jeans.  I know I will be alright though. I've just got to work a little harder, that's all!
Oh, I finally figured out how to put a picture on my Avatar and I uploaded recent photos. Looking back, I've come a long way and want to continue this journey of good health.
