One year update

I went in for my one year update and I will sum it all up for anyone just joining us. Program start I am at 409lbs, down 75 lbs from 1.5 years of dietary changes and excercise. Ok, so 409lbs I start the Program at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake , New York. I progress throughout the year of appointments and exams and on September 15th 2009 I have the RNY Gastric Bypass. I was at 363 on the day of surgery and began to lose weight fast. I plateaued alot over the year as my fitness level improved but still lost weight. At my one year exam I am weighing in at 248 lbs. It is 161lbs of loss and an overall loss of 63% of excess body weight. I am feeling better than I have in many many many years and I am still continuing to lose. I have an application being submitted to see if insurance will cover a movement impairing pannus . It is not likely :( but is posible that this is considered medically necessary and the panniculectomy may get covered by my insurance. I keeping faith and hoping for the best.
