Well Happy Mother's day to all the mom's out there! It 12:09am here in Michigan and I just can't sleep. So I thought I'd give a quick update. I had my WLS on Tuesday and had a horrible hospital stay. My surgyer was textbook, it was able to be done lap as I had hoped for! I have 5 very tiny incisions across my belly that don't bother me one bit. I came to in the OR as they were removing my breathing tube (That was HORRIBLE!!) I was moved to a recovery room some time later where I was out of it mostly. I spent Wednesday and Thursday vomiting in a bucket with little sleep. I had x-rays done both wed. night and thurs. morning that showed nothing wrong and basically I was told it was just a reaction to surgery. Needless to say I woke up Friday a BRAND NEW person. I was able to function without feeling so sick. My roommate was absolutely wonderful! We got along great and both entered and left the hospital at the same time. I am now home and probably doing way more then I should! I've been out twice today, walking and carrying on like nothing but I definately feel it now. Well there's my update. I am going to call the doc's office on Monday to make an appt. for sometime this week or the next. I must say I am so happy I chose Dr. Pleatman. He is a wonderful doc. He was there every morning bright and early to check on me and I am just really pleased with the results so far! Well I can't think of anything else to say right now except that I'm FINALLY a LOSER!!! hahah I hope everybody is doing great and I thank everyone for their kind words of support.

It won't be long and you will be on the losing side. It's a funny thing in this world to want to be a loser. But that is my hope for you. Being a loser is so great! I am so happy for you. Heal Fast.

Well it's finally happening, in less then 24 hours I will be at the hospital and on my way to being a loser!! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that have given me their support. It is amazing how comforting words, even from strangers, can truely be. I am not nervous, not yet anyways! Just excited that the time has come. Good luck to all my amos brothers and sisters that are having surgery tomorrow as well as the rest of the week and I'll see you all on the LOOSING SIDE!!!
