well I am home from the hospital feeling miserable, gas pains are killing me now, and the ride was very rough.  I am going to take the longest nap in history.  I thought my armchair would be comfy but its not.  So I am switching to the couch.  I will post later when I get my meds and have settled.

Today I got the scare of my life.  The insurance company called and my authorization for WLS was denied. Denied, 3 days before surgery my heart dropped in my stomach.  I don't have the money to pay for this what am I gonna do.  I called Alison at Dr. Vohra's office who informed me the gotten denial this morning at 8:30 am, she said don't do anything She told Dr. Vohra and he was going to speak with peer board medical director of the insurance company and call me back.  Sure enough at 2:54pm she called me to tell me they overturned denial and I am officially approved.  YES YES YES Thank you Jesus.  I am set for tues March 23, 2010.  I will be on the losing side.  So that was how my panicky day went.

Today I started my video blog at you-tube  see link  http://www.youtube.com/schenwhit  so stayed tuned. It does not mean i'll be ignoring OH as I am on every single day lurking about. 

  I went to see the gastroenterologist today.  I explained the problem listed on the chart for cardio(chest pain) I had in january.  Well he did not take exam no further.  You need to schedule a stress test before I do anything come back in 6 weeks.  I kindly told him my surgery is schedule for march 23, 2010 and 6 weeks is way after that date.  I also explained my appointment next week on Tuesday the 23rd of Feb.  He says okay.  Still see me in 6 weeks.  Oh hell no I am not delaying.  So when I go get my stress test I am asking dr to fax info asap to gastro dr and then call me so I can call  gastro to come in asap. Lets get this done baby.

Fabulous that's how I'm feeling.  Everything is falling into place right now and I am have to thank th almighty God for his blessings.  I do not have sleep apnea which is good. my co-morbids fall under psoriasis-arthritic, osteo-arthritis, high chlolesterol, and migraines.  I hate migrines because they com so frequnt.  I had to get myself out of the worry stage which is what I started doing..bad thing, there is no going back this time round.

you were wondering how I got a date so fast is because, I did most all my test before  my first visit, so I really did not have naything else to do but wait.

I went to see Dr. Vohra today.  I love this group of folks at NY bariatrics, what more can I say.  I've got a date March 23, 2010 and guess what according to Dr. Vohra united healthcare covers the gastric sleeve.  I am estatic.  I cannot contain my joy.

Well I went to see the gastro provider, and nothing special but a bunch of questions and answer series, Plus I am going to have additional blood work done.  I told the doc , never had a problem with my thyroid which was just recently tested when I was in the hospital Jan 2-2010.  So all is well.  I never got the results back from my sleep study test so I don't know if that is a good thing or bad thing.  I am trying to get all the test done while I am home and sitting on my backside.

Today is the seminar for Dr. Vohra's group, and I am going to attend this evening at 7pm.  I am taking notes, notes, and more notes today.   I know I will learn something since I have the opportunity to speak with people who have actually gone through the process.  Later today I am going to the endocrinologist.  I don't know if I will have to make more than one visit, since more than likely I will have to do blood work.  But I will let you know how it goes.
