I'm on my weigh

Mar 21, 2012

Wasn't happy with the information meeting at Fairview Southdale. They said many times they would be reviewing ALL weight loss surgery options. They only review the surgies they perform.

So I went to the Uof M for their information meeting. Now that was an information meeting!!! The same day of the meeting I met with the surgeon Dr. Daniel Leslie, his nurses, dietition and scheduler. I have 6 months of dietition visits and all the other testing to go through. I spent 4 hours on the phone the next day scheduling appointments for me and my husband as we are doing this together. I'm doing the Laparoscopic Bilipancreatic Diversion with the Duodenal Switch that I have been reaearching for 2 years. My husband will be doing the  Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy and his surgery will be Nov. 30, 2012.

I'm doing the 1200 calorie a day thing and learning how to eat properly so I am accustomed to eating the right portions after surgery. Sure is hard only eating one portion of things insted of three portions.  I'm only on day two of the diet and keep looking at the sheets of information so I know how many serving of what I am allowed each day....That's as much work as measuring out food. LOL . I know in no time at all I won't have to measure serving sizes anymore coz I'll know them all by heart.  I think the hardest thing for me over the past two days in not being allowed to drink all the milk I normally drink.

Walking 30 min a day on my airwalker and doing all the things I need to do.
I'm on my weigh:)
