Wow! Life is soo good these days. I am working out 3-4 days a week at Gold's Gym and feeling great! I just measured and have lost 46" total. I will re-weigh soon and post that, but we know it's more than 70 lbs. gone forever since 8-1-02! I am in size 18's and some 20's still and loving it! I wear clothes a little more fitting than before when I only wanted to wear clothes so loose they rarely touched my body. I don't mind stopping by a mirror once in a while either. I have more energy for dancing than before when I looked like my head would explode after 2-3 dances. Now I go all the time and barely break a sweat. My son hugged me this morning (10 yrs. old) and got his arms all the way around my waist. He said, "Mommy's gettin' skinnnnnyyyyyyy!" Well, far from it, but on my way! Then we I dropped the boys off at the sitters, he says, "Bye, Skinny Mommy!" Man, life is good. For ideas on what I am thankful for, re-read the above....in a nutshell...my family and a whole new life. Love to all!!!

Hello Cheryl, Congratulations on your great success. I loved your remark about the "puppy kennels"! That is a new one for me. I am having an Open RNY Dec. 10th. and am excited and a little nervous. This still seems like a dream to me. Guess I am afraid that it won't work for me even though rationally, I know better. Can't imagine being thin! I wish you continued success on your journey. God bless.

cheryl- congrads on the weight loss, sorry to hear about the plateau. i went to my first post op appt yesterday and i asked the nurse and the dr. the same question about diet soda. they both informed me NO SODA AT ALL!! the carbonation will in time stretch our pouches. soda diet or not is a bad thing. now with caffeine (like in coffee), we should drink an extra glass of water to each one with caffeine. hope this helps, gale
