Hello Everyone! I am a 22 y/o female from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have 2 beautiful children, a 3 y/o and a 1 y/o. I am a graduate Practical Nurse, I am waiting to take my boards. I am a part-time customer service rep. I have been battling with my weight since I was very young. I was always called the “fat one“. This is due to the fact that my oldest sister has always been Slim. I always wondered how it would feel to be her for just one day. That never happened. LOL! Well at one time I felt comfortable with my weight, I felt that being overweight was destined for me. “Fat” is who I am. However, once I started nursing school I realized that being overweight leads to chronic illness and death. I am not ready to die. I haven’t lived yet. I was just diagnosed with hypertension 4 months ago and my ankles stay swollen. So I have decided to seek help. I have been dieting all my life (Pills, no carbs, salads & vegetables, Vinegar, lemon juice, slim fast…….) just to name a few. I am looking to defeat obesity. I am ready to try a permanent approach.
