In high school i was about a size14, after marriage and 3 daughters later i struggled for years to get weight off. I finally decided after seeing so many success stories of family, freinds, neighbors, that i started my journey in 2006, I decided I wanted to pursue the RNY surgery. I was denied the first time because I did not have 6 continous months of Dr Appts. Ok , so now I would have to put the surgery on hold until i completed the 6 mths of appts with my family dr. In Feb 07 I completed my final month of appts with my family dr. WOO HOO! Now it was time for him to write the letter of medical neccessity and wait for approval. Within 2 weeks I was finally approved for the surgery. I could not believe it. I was just starting LPN Nusring school, and I could not take time off from this, so i had to schedule my surgery for June 11th, 2007 in the summer when i would have vacation from school.
