Finally an Update!!!

So, I had my surgeon's consult on 1/16/12 and finally had all my paperwork submitted on 2/2/12. Well on 2/8/12, I finally got the answer I'd been waiting on: APPROVED!!!  I was so excited, but of course there had to be a bump in the road.... On top of my surgeon's fee, the hospital wanted me to pay an additional $7143 upfront as well, of course I did't have that much, so I was prepared to postpone my surgey :(..... I didn't give up and started working on a plan to afford it later this year, but God heard and answered my prayers way ahead of time because on Friday my surgery coordinator called to tell me the other hospital, that's just as good but further from where i live about an hour away, where my surgeon performs surgeries would only cost me $500 upfront which is a BIG difference... Of course i made the change. My pre-op appt will be on this Wednesday 2/15/12 with my surgery now scheduled on 2/28/12. I guess I'll start getting prepared and purchase all my pre-op and post-op needs next weekend after my pre-op appt. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time, my anxiety is in overdrive....
