Chicken at Cardio APPT

Jul 22, 2009

I went to the cardiologist yesterday and he commented you have lost 9 pounds. What are you doing? I did not tell him the whole truth. I told him I was walking, not eating and not taking as much insulin. I did omit and had 80% of my stomach removed. OOPS!!

I was chicken to tell him.

Since I came back from Mexico they found a cyst on my Spleen and now I have been diagnosed with Peripheral Vascular Disease, (PVA). The new diagnosis has the cardio worried my heart disease is bad and is running down a hill. Every thing that I can possible have I have and all of it coming together at once. He thinks it is all related to the Diabetes.

When I came back from Mexico and I started walking again my leg started to hurt. I got all the test done and now PVA. The cardio gave me a new awesome drug the pain is less but the best part, I have to walk in order for the medicine to work better. So when the pain is killing the medicine kicks in and the medicine goes into the small veins and eventually the pain goes away. Eventually meaning maybe 3 months I hope less.

I weighed 182 at the doctor’s office yesterday, this is nice but I did not put on my OH chart because I decided last week that I will only weigh once a week Monday.

I go see the cardiologist in September I will tell him that I had the surgery. He is going to be upset that I did it or he will ban me from the practice. Good thing I only see him every two months.
