Well, I have never been a small girl. As a matter of fact, I have had weight issues most of my life. I was aware that I was large and had come to accept it. Unfortunately, this year the weight has really taken a toll on my health. Not only do I have high cholesterol, but I have high blood pressure, I am prediabetic, have a deterioating knee, and lower back issues, and severe sleep apnea. All of this was diagnosed last summer. I made a decision that I would consider the surgery but I would try everything else first. I was terrified of going under the knife but here I am with about 2 weeks before the big day. My family and friends have been very supportive of my decision and I have a wonderful doctor. I know everything will be fine. I have really enjoyed reading the success stories on this site. Anyone with advice that will help me get through this process should please drop me a note.
