6 month anniversary
Oct 19, 2008
I can't believe 6 months have past since my bypass surgery. I have lost 70 lbs and feeling amazing!!! My energy level is something...I can exercise, walk, clean house, keep up with my husband and his outdoor stuff. I feel like a new woman.
Besides the way I look is the great health benefit I have enjoyed. My blood pressure is normal and I haven't used my antihypertensives since April. My asthma has significantly improved- no more daily asthma medications. My reflux is non existant- no more prevacid. I don't snore any more. I will be having my blood work done and hopefully my cholesterol will be lower. My back feels better, too.
The compliments I receive are really nice although sometimes it gets somewhat embarrassing.
My family have been so terrific and have really been a great source of strength throughout my journey. It hasn't been easy. I can't eat eggs, shellfish, and some other things I used to enjoy, but at least I'm not having stomach pain like in the beginning.
I have about 27 pound to reach my goal of 150 lbs. and secretly I fear that I won't reach my goal or to the extreme that I loose way too much weight. Anyway time will tell....I remain focused.
