I had my surgery on March 3rd 2014, I have lost a total of 71 lbs. I feel great. I am so happy I have pushed through the ups and downs of having the surgey. I can do things I was not able to do before. I am more active and not tired all the time. I am not scared to go shopping or try on new clothes. The only thing I have notice is my hair thining and falling out in globs. Hopefully that will slow down soon...... Hope you all have a great summer.

So after calling my insurance to check on coverage for a claim dispute I was told all I need to do was to submit a Certificate of Coverage and they would drop my preexisting.

I now do not have to wait until MAY. I went on Friday and got the EGD done and then on Monday for my Reassessment/ Pre surgery visit. MY SURGERY DATE IS SET MARCH 4th 2014. I am excited and nervous. I have started my liquid diet shakes and have had all my pre opp done. :)

I have gained 10lbs. Due to the holidays and not smoking. Oh yeah have not took a puff of a cigarette since I put them down.

I have made small goals for my self until my surgery in May. 

January- no soda 

February cutting out extra sugars (candies, sweet tea, ext.)

March- goal is to excise more. 

Sleep study results were negative.

So I finally heard back from the insurance coordinator at the clinic via e-mail. I started reading it and the first words were congratulations you have been approved!!!! Excited I jumped the gun and started jumping for joy. Then I glanced back down and finished reading it. It then said " due to pre-exciting you will not be eligible until May of 2014. We will give you a call in April to set up your re assessment .......... WHAT...  So needless to say I must wait until May of 2014.  my emotions are mixed! But hey everything happens for a reason. 

I am am still waiting for the results of my sleep study.

I went for my sleep study Monday Night. I walk in to the room and it was quite cozy UNTIL........ The nurse attached the wires using glue, tape and paste. I didn't know I was going to have wires coming off my body in every direction. The whole time I am sitting in the chair as he connects more and more wires to my body I am thinking to my self. How in the world am I going to sleep like this???? then I got in the bed thinking that would be it.  Yeah right here comes more wires and tubes in and around your nose. I was scared to move. So I tried to get as comfortable as I could. Then I slowly drifted off after a couple of hours of staring at the wall. I must of rolled over and RIPPPPPPP comes the tape off my leg....OUCH. Then he comes in and reattaches the tape. needless to say I only got about 4 hours of sleep that night. Then he ask me the next morning when he comes in to remove the wires. Did you sleep good? Do you feel refreshed? Answer NOOOO. I am so tired I could craw to my truck.  NOOOO. I got itchy glue in my head sticky tape from head to toe.  

So my recommendation to any one having a sleep study is to : make sure you do your sleep study on a Friday night. :) 

Well I just got the email that they submitted my request to my insurance for approval, I have to wait up to 15 days for an answer.

I go for my sleep study tonight.

I have been smoke free since September 15, 2013.

On Wednesday I went for my cardio clearance,  which I thought I was going to die during the stress test. I hadn't been on a bike since the age 14. Then went to Cheese cake factor with my Mom. They have a skinnlious menu. Which is so yummy. Then we went back to the Davis Clinic for the psych evaluation. Which is a 500 question test!!! Then had my one time nutrition class . After the clinic receives the results of the cardio test. They will submit to insurance. Keeping my fingers crossed.  Go for sleep apnea testing on Oct 7th. As of right now I don't go back to see Dr.. Primomo until December 2nd which would put my surgery around Dec. 17th.

Went for my consulate at Davis Clinic. Got a lot of useful information.  He order a cardio appt. which is 09/25/2013, Sleep Apnea study, and a scope. So now I am waiting for them to call me about my insurance. Hope it is good news. Keeping my fingers crossed. Should know something in the next 5-7 business days.
