Well, it's been a week since my last entry. I spent 4 days in the hospital.  I am so glad that the pain is over. What I have is just the discomfort from healing. 
I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that I can only eat about the two to three teaspoons at a time and I have to make myself eat.  It is totally mindblowing that I don't finish a sf Jello cup or the bowl of mashed potatoes.  I come from a long line of clean plate club members. 
I plan on taking on this new beginning for myself one day at a time. I have found that looking way in the future has sometimes been detrimental to my changing habits.  With God's blessing, I know I will be successful.

I woke up at 5 a.m. and am wired. I have lots of last minute things to do today and I am getting real nervous. Even though this surgery will give me a better quality of life, I am always super anxious about having surgery.  I guess it's the put to sleep and waking up part that does me in.  Oh well, I will try to keep happy thoughts and not worry too much today.
Yesterday, I went Xmas shopping all morning with my husband. If I ever needed remindng, my knees were screaming only after three hours of shopping.  My body was telling me "lighten up!".  I can't wait to be more mobile as the weight starts dropping. 
Please pray that all goes well. I'll post in a couple of days.

My biology final is over!!! It wasn't as bad as I thought. Anyway, I find out if I need to take the history final this afternoon.  
Came home last night and decided that I need to make a list of the places and routines for my husband.  Boy, is he in for a shock!  He will certainly be busy Monday and Tuesday next week.  I don't think he has ever taken any of the boys to the dentist. And he will have the opportunity to struggle with a teenager who doesn't think wearing dress clothes and a tie should be mandatory for the school band Christmas concert. This will be a first!
My best frend had GP a year ago August and has been so great in answering questions and giving recommendations. She even made a "starters" basket for me with lots of things that will help with the days and weeks after the surgery. I am so blessed!
It is finally dawning how close Monday is now. My hubby is coming in tomorrow!  I walk into stores and actually take a look of the misses section and imagine that I will be shopping there in the future...something I wouldn't dare do six months ago. Big changes are coming!
