3 month milestones

Oct 08, 2009

Wow  I can not believe all of the changes that have happened in just 3 short months and I wanted to write them all down so I never forget where I was, where I never want to be again, and where I am going.
I have lost 70 lbs (including 17 lost 3 weeks before surgery on preop diet, I lost them so I'm counting them, my body, my rules LOL)
I have lost 31 inches.  I have went from a very tight 24 pants and 3x (24-26)top to 18 pants and 18-20(xl) top.  I have more strenth and energy than I have had in a long time.
I went to Kings Island (local amusement park)oN Sept 26 and rode roller coasters for 8 straight hours, I didn't have to make excuses to my 9 year old  why I didn't want to ride something, when really I couldn't ride with her because I wouldn't fit in the seat.  We rode till her heart was content and every bone and muscle in my body was sore.  The wonderful memories we created that day made every bump I have had in my road to recovery worth it.
Has my journey been easy? NO. Has it been without hurdles. NO Would I do it agian?  You better believe it.  Any regrets? Zero  I could say I wished I had done it sooner and not delayed my surgery for almost a year after insurance approval but honestly I dont think that I was mentally ready a year ago.  I was set on having the LapBand and had not even researched the Bypass.  A year ago, the wonderful surgeon who performed my surgery did not practice at the hosptial I chose to have my surgery at.  So, I have no regrets because I honestly feel that everything happens for a reason and even though Gods timing and ours are different sometimes, things come together when and how they are supposed to.
