It is my pleasure to say that I have lost a total of 122 lbs since my surgery date on August 12, 2009.  I am very pleased with my weight loss. I weigh 156 today & I am in a size 12. I probably can wear a 10 but I have a lot of excess skin. Life is wonderful I have lost 2 bad ppl. Which is all the weight & a bad abusive husband. Please listen & believe that if you are in a good marriage it will be better after RNY but if you are in a bad one it will end after your WLS. I thank God for this surgery & I would do it 100 TIMES if I had to. If you are considering this surgery but you are scared or listening to other ppl. Don't listen just do it, just do it, just do it! Please just do it. As a matter of fact when you finally do do it you will wish that you did it years ago. READ CAREFULLY. JUST DO IT. Say your prayers & believe that God will take care of you. Research your doctor & be sure that his fatality rates are low to no & go for it. I recommend Dr. Lee Schmitt @ St Vincent's East in Birmingham, Alabama (205) 838.3047. He is the best. But don't hesitate to make your life better. Just think no diabetes, high blood pressure, or any obesity related issues no longer. And save your money before you start because I went from a size 22/24 to 10/12 & it is very expensive to purchase clothes. Start saving now or accept the fact that the Thrift Store is a great option.

 Well today is 11 weeks post-op for me and I have lost a total of 44 lbs and I thank and praise God for shedding that weight for me. My goal is to be down to 150 so I have 84 lbs to go. I know that I can do this because God haven't brought me this far to leave me. He is going to guide my every step, move, and bite that I take. I will try to keep you posted.

I am so excited about my surgery date finally being established. I have been going through the motions since November of 08 and it's been frustrating but I know it's worth it. Would someone please help me to understand what pre-op testing consists of. I am a little nervous about that. And how long is it necessary to be off of work if I only sit at a desk.
