Well, I am almost 7 weeks post-op, and I can honestly say that I have had nothing go wrong with me.
I am tolerating foods great!!! And I have never been sick, or dumped.
The incision from the procedure looks like someone drew on me with a pencil. The scar is very thin, and I feel it will barely be visible within a few months.
I am taking Dr. Snyder's advice and not being a slave to the scale. I have lost a substantial amount already, since everything I had as far as clothing went pre-op is now HUGE!!!
Dr. Snyder was always there for me, if I had questions about things post-op, and also pre-op, even though he is really busy, he made time for me.
I do have more energy than I ever did before. I can go all day without being tired, and I don't wake up the next day drained or sore.
I am consuming about 70-80 ounces of water a day, and I am getting in about 40-50 grams of protein a day.
I am staying active. I can't really walk alot, I have balance problems, but I am all over my yard doing everything I want to do. My yard has never looked better...LOL
Many people ask me if I took the easy way out. I don't think anything about surgery is easy, nor is the decision to have it done.
I was gaining weight, a substantial amount of weight because of my disability, and I didn't want to end my life before it got started. This was my last hope to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I have that now!!! I am estatic with the results thus far.
I have recommended Dr. Snyder to my family & friends, and also to my online friends in a support group. He is the most caring doctor I have ever met.
