I moved to America from the UK in 2001, already very overweight, but whilst here, taking care of my children the weight seemed to increase, my Doctor suggested gastric bypass, which I thought was too radical, so I said NO thanks. I was on Lipitor for my cholesterol and in October of 2007 passed out collecting my kids from school. I was taken to hospital and realized that I hated being this large fat lady on a bed waiting for the bad news. The hospital found nothing wrong, but I decided to look into alternative options for weight loss.
I watched a discovery health program which showed lap band surgery in November of 07. I did my research and went to meet with Arthur and Adam Glasgow in December of 07 to sign up for help. I managed to get all of my evaluations, psych reports etc done. I met with Arthur early in January 08 and my surgery was scheduled for January 29th.
I have had my surgery and very happy with the way things are going.
