I am a single woman who lives in upper Michigan with her two dogs, Tucker and Nikko. I teach in a small school and have amazing coworkers that are supportive, especially the ones I commute with each day.

I am close with my parents and visit them at least twice a month during the school year and spend most of the summer with them at their home two hours from where I own my own home.

I love to go camping, read books, sit outside, walk along the lake, going swimming, doing yard work, gardening, and home improvements/maintenance. that is until this past winter when my back started acting up again and I ended up needing to use a walker to get around and the only time I was active was when I was teaching and then I would rest when I got home because my back ached so much and I couldn't walk very much.

I decided in the middle of March to look into having the RNY surgery as an option to get my back better. I had surgery 7 years ago when it improved greatly. Now, talking with surgeons I must lose 100-150 pounds before they will allow me to have surgery, if I need it after the weight comes off. The decision was made before talking to the surgeon but it was cemented after that conversation.

I have been overweight my whole life and lived though teasing and torture all though school into college. Upon graduation, I decided that if I ever saw those people again, it would be too soon. I did not attend my class reunions but I may go to my 20th looking "smokin' hot!"  Just to tell a few people off and tell them what they can kiss...haha.
