What? It's been 5 years since my surgery?

It really is hard to believe that I had surgery five years ago (on June 18)  to aid in weight loss for a huge (to ME!!!!!) weight problem!!  I thank God every day when I hear  my coworkers say, " I just can't picture you any bigger than you are now.....125 lbs, thank you very much :) !!!  I attempt to be an advocate at work, or anywhere for that matter,  for anybody researching or talking about weight loss surgery. There are ups and downs related to this surgery, the RNY, and I have tried to the best of my ability and from my personal experience to educate anybody interested in hearing about my journey.  I have gone from a hefty 205 lbs to a svelt 125 :)  I feel great and wonderful and satisfied, and beautiful and ...and...need I go on?  Did I mention happy...that really should have been number one:)   I thank God every day for guiding me through this experience. With that being said, I will say that I have read and heard about many different outcomes from this surgery.  The range of recovery is from one end of the spectrum to the other...with some of that spectrum being voiced by people who have a totally different view on life, difficulties, compromise and so on, than myself.  With that being said, the RNY has helped accomplish a number of goals in my life. Number  1) a lifesaver, 2) self-esteem builder  3) an ego booster 4) a marriage enhancer :) 5 )developed me to be an ecourageer for others. I'm sure that there are many more but they just aren't coming to mind right now :)  With all of this being said, I hope that anybody researching or thinking about or is already trudging forward with weight loss surgery will feel free to contact me and ask questions that I will attempt to answer.   This surgery has changed my life.  My life has done a complete 180 becaue of this surgery. I hope to offer encouragement and advice to anybody seriously considering this big step. Contact me
