Fitting in

Feb 06, 2016

08/07/03- I will be participating in my first Taekwondo tournament on this Saturday in Camarillo Ca. I will be doing my Green belt form or (poomse) so stay tuned for an update if I actually place in the tournament. For me just being able to go is a big accomplishment. I have been training extra hard for this chance. I also started a higher protein rich lifestyle (notice I didn’t say DIET!) I am eating Detour bars made by Designer Whey and drinking Mega Protein Isolate, both are very high in protein. My new goal is to get to 150 lbs. by December. My weight loss has slowed way down, my doctor says I’m doing great and is surprised by all the muscles I have now lol. So far no cosmetic surgery needed for this girl. But one thing that bugged me was people would come up to me and say, "My friend had the surgery and lost 100 lbs. in 4 months, how come it took you 9 months?" Then I read Carnies new book where she was saying how she lost 100lbs in 4 months, I started to really think something was wrong with me, I started to see myself morbidly obese again, I completely bought in to myself failing yet once again. Man, what our mind does to us, I stayed in this rut for about a week. Then I placed a call to my doctor to ask a simple question regarding International flights and problems with dehydration, luckily for me the nurse practitioner Debbie called me back and we had a long talk about how I was feeling. She said "this is not a race and everyone is different and looses weight different not to mention the procedures distal vs. proximal" it made so much sense after talking with her. It also helps to put a picture of yourself before surgery up so you can see it anytime you are depressed or feeling like you are not showing results. Now I feel great about myself, I know my weight will come off as long as I eat right and keep exercising both my mind and body.

The other day I had to book a hotel room for this tournament and for once I didn't have to worry about the size of the bed in the room, before surgery I hated sleeping on full size beds, now I could fit on a twin if I had to. ::smile:: well I will be updating again soon. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. God Bless you and keep reaching for the other side. Anything is possible if we believe.
