Today was my one month follow up, and i am proud to say I am now down 37 pounds (including opti)!!!! This is the lowest I have weighed in years! Ive also lost 22 inches from various places since the beginning of Opti as well. Ooooh, I'm so excited :)

Surgery was monday around 130pm-ish. It was a rough go for a while, I was in quite a bit of (expected) pain. But, now I'm home and I am feeling much better! I am sip, sip, sipping away on my water. And I am just hoping and praying I dont sneeze, lol! I am still quite sore and tired though, so I will keep this short and sweet. :)

Today is (almost) the day. Leaving Kingston and headed to Ottawa. Weather is a bit nasty out, so we are going up the night before. :) Surgery is tomorrow at (approx.) 1:45pm. :) EEK! Wish me luck!!!

PATTS appointment today and I am down 10 pounds!!! Yayyy!!!

About seven days until my surgery and I'm LOSING. MY. MIND!!!  Every time I think of it, I get butterflies and I go into a frenzy worrying if I am ready, if I have everything planned out and in place. I have cleaned and re-cleaned, and re-RE-cleaned my apartment. I'm pretty sure my boyfriend thinks I'm losing it.

I wish I could weigh myself because I am so curious to know what I am at from the Opti. I have started needing to tie the strings on my pants because they are too loose! Which seems so crazy to me because on more than one occasion I have had to try to fish the string out of my pants because I had stretched them too far and it got lost in the seam! Haha!

PATTS appointment on Jan 30th. Which will be a fun day trip with my mommy. Then up to Ottawa on Feb 2nd, and surgery on the 3rd!

But I guess the only thing for me to do now is to sit, and wait. *sigh*

Day 9 of Opti is almost done for me. For the first week I was having a very hard time getting in the 4 shakes a day. They were awful tasting and smelled horrible and even the thought of them made me gag. Around day 3 or 4 I sat with a shake in front of me and cried. I didn't think I could do it. I was honestly thinking of throwing in the towel and giving up on the entire surgery. But alas, my hero. My mother gave me some flavours to add to my shakes, and I must say, they have greatly improved everything. I'm not saying I like my shakes, or look forward to them. But I no longer dread them. I no longer gag, or have to drink them over the sink or in the bathroom in case I can't get them down.  

But not everything is bad! There is the good side of these drinks! I was able to zip up my winter jacket for the first time since last winter! My pants are fitting looser, and my boyfriend says I look different. So it is working! And I am so excited for this journey. I can't wait for surgery, and to begin my transformation. I can't wait to be healthy and happy.

I wish I could weigh myself to see my progress, but I am too heavy for normal bathroom scales, so I have to wait until my PATTS appointment in Ottawa for my next weigh-in. But nonetheless, I am excited. :)

Tomorrow is my starting day on Opti. Don't know what to expect, but I'm nervous just the same. I'm hoping I wont be hungry or cranky. And I'm hoping my body tolerates it well, as I've heard some people have problems being on the shakes. I've uploaded my before shots, but the site wont let me rotate them! I don't know why they got flipped when I uploaded them...so if anyone knows how to fix that, let me know. :)

Got the call from the surgeons office and my surgery is booked for February 3, 2012! I'm so excited! I start Optifast on Jan. 13th. And I'm done work on Feb 2nd. EEK! Things are really moving along for me now! 

Went to my doctor appointment in Ottawa today and they gave me the go ahead for surgery and sent me home with my prescription for Optifast! Now, I just sit and wait for the call! EEEK! So excited! Although she said because of the holidays I wont be hearing until sometime in the New Year, but I am still super stoked!!

I have my appointment to meet with my surgeon in Ottawa. Nov 19. Here I come. I'm so excited. I didn't think I would be meeting him until the new year.But yay! The ball is definitely rolling now!
