Question:
6 months post op and all of a sudden burning and pain in stomach

It started 2 days ago I noticed pain and burning in my stomach. I tried pepto bismol, gas X, Mylanta, trying to relieve it so far nothing. My stomach is making all these popping noises, rumblings, increased peristalsis, it feels just terrible and painful. When I try to eat or drink something it gets worse. Has anyone all of a sudden felt this way? Should I call my surgeon?    — T L. (posted on December 6, 2001)

I'm sorry, but why are you even posting this here and waiting to call a dr? You have burning pain, call your dr right away and don't ask permission to do it.

I had something similar--very very painful! Turned out I had a ulcer the doctor put me on medicine for 6 weeks and now I'm fine.
