Question:
For last 2 days I have had bad stomach cramps and diaherra

Also a little vomitting. I do not have a gallbladder and I had lap rny. I haven't had any stomach probs up until now. I am a little worried. The pain isn't on one side or the other...just in my stomach area. Sometimes it seems worse when I eat or drink, but not always. Any ideas?    — Sasha A. (posted on June 7, 2004)

Maybe you have a virus? I had one earlier this year, where I would throw up a bit and I had terrible diarrhea, but was otherwise fine. The highest my temperature got was 99, and that was only for one night. The rest of the week, I just pooped and vomited but otherwise was ok. My doc said it was a virus.

If the pain is bad after drinking or eating, you may have a partial bowel obstruction. I am 2 yrs post-op and I have had 2 obstructions. It started the way you say, but then it got to the point that I couldn't eat or drink without severe pain. My doctor had me go directly to the ER. Both times I had laproscopic surgery to correct it. I would strongly suggest talking to your doctor asap. If an obstruction isn't treated, that part of your bowel can die and then you are in for worse problems. Good luck!
