Question:
I also need info on thigh/arm lifts...

and am hoping you will post it where we all can read it, even if you do decide to send it confidentially to the previous poster, as requested. I am one year post-op, and can't stand my flapping arm wings another minute! I am beginning the research phase for arms, thighs, and tummy tuck. It looks like I will have to self pay, as my insurance company won't. Any cost information for each of the surgeries is appreciated. Also, can they do arms and thighs together? I thought I had read here that they would do upper body and lower body seperately. Thanks for your help.    — Anne G. (posted on July 20, 2001)

I am awaiting final insurance approval for an abdominal panniculectomy and bilateral brachioplasty (armlift). My plastic surgeon's fees are $3000 for the panniculectomy, and $3200 for the brachioplasty. I live in NC and have no idea how comparable these fees are for other areas of the country. I am not pursuing a thigh lift at this time (but definitely see it in my future), but the surgeon had no problem with considering it as part of the "package". As an RN, I have not heard that surgeons will only do upper body OR lower body....but I also don't have a lot of previous experience with this field :-) Good luck!

Hi Anne - I just ran into a woman at the gym yesterday who had this dual surgery 2 weeks ago. She was also a self-pay, and since we live in the San Francisco area - it was a lot more expensive than North Carolina! She had the abdominoplasty and the brachioplasty, and paid $15,500 for the entire thing. (And just for the record, she looks great - I couldn't believe she was back at the gym and feeling so well in two weeks!) - Kate -
