Question:
How do I find out about a Doctors surgical History..like mortality rate and problems

I read on the sugilite message board from a lady who is using Doctor Betcher in Fresno . Now she is near death.. I am scheduled for surgery by this Doctor in Oct.. This scares me How do i find out Doctor Betcher and Doctor Fryes track record ...    — Kathleen M. (posted on August 29, 2000)

EACH STATE IS DIFFERANT. TRY TO SEE IF YOU HAVE A DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE IN YOUR STATE. THEY WILL SEND YOU A STATEMENT ON YOUR DOCTOR FOR A SMALL FEE. TRY ASKING YOUR DOC AND HOPE HE IS TRUTHFUL. MY DOC WAS. HE TOLD ME UP FRONT AND IT MATCHED THE REPORT I HAD ON HIM.

on this website is a place under 'local help" that gives you this info: phone and fax and address for the state board of medical examiners and the director's name... there you can find all the info about your concerns...I believe this will be your best bet... :)
