Hello, I think you need to address the ulcer. That is the issue here. Your doctor can put you on a PrevPak. This is an intense treatment for your ulcer. A revision won't heal the ulcer, but medication will. Paula

SLD CAUSES ulcers! The only long term fix was the revision! SIP SIP SIP, and just like your first surgery, assuming you had the RNY you will eventually be able to eat and drink more. Sorry no one will reverse you immediately after surgery, you need time to heal, it gets better over time. I suggest you call your surgeon. If you were on any depression drugs pre op, get liquid versions of them. dont skip them, it just makes it worse.

Heidi, I know that things seem rough now. You must remember what got you through your first WLS. Think of this as a new opportunity in your permanent journey. I agree with Bill that no sugeon will reverse you now. You must heal and definately sip the water to keep hydrated. These 3 issues are very common after any abdominal surgery including WLS sugery. Many people who are prone to adhessions (scar tissue) will continue to grow them throughout their life. This is not a complication to the WLS, but rather a tendency of your body that will need to be monitored throughout your life to keep from getting bowl abstructions that can be very severe. Keep in touch with your surgeon and PCP on a regular basis and monitor your pain, constipation, bloating, etc.. They are your best help from here on out. Do not go looking for someone new to put you back together!!!! Another surgery will only cause more adhesions and strictures not fewer. Everytime you are opened up your risks go up and so does the healing time. With God all things are possible, lean on him in this time of trial for what does not kill us makes us stronger. You can and will succeed. Hugs to you today, -----
