Question:
Unusual abdominal pain

I am 7 months out from RNY surgery. Everything had been going great. A few weeks ago I noticed the first few bites of food I consumed made my pouch feel ouchy. Saturday night I ate some chili, which I had had before and started having severe abdominal cramps and nausea. That lasted most of the night. Sunday my insides felt similiar to what they did coming out of surgery. Today I am still in some pain. It is better than yesterday, but still not good. I have never tested myself with sugar or greasy foods for dumping. Could this be simple dumping or should I look further? I have no clue what it could be. HELP!    — GingerKS (posted on July 13, 2009)

CALL YOUR DOCTOR! Let them know how you are feeling and whats going on. It could be as simple as a stomach virus, but it could be something else. You put in alot of time, thought and effort to get this surgery I am sure, so if something is not feeling right, please consult your doc for advise. Trish

Call you Dr. You might have an ulcer. Your symptoms sound like mine and I have one.
