Question:
What Alcoholic drinks can we have?

Now, I'm not going to drink alot, just sometimes I like to go to bars with my friends and I like to socially drink. What are some drinks that we can have that may not cause dumping? A couple weeks ago I had a margarita, not even close to half of it and was fine. But I'm not good with what drinks have what in them.I used to love fruity drinks and amaretto sours, which i know is out of the question now.. Thank you for your responses! Order a diet vodka collins on ice. Crisp and sugar-free. You can make this at home - just use vodka, ice and diet squirt.

Malibu rum and pineapple juice is good, or clamato and vodka, a Ceasar.

Wine is the only thing I've been able to handle post. I've tried a few mixed drinks only to dump on them. Stinks when you're with a group of folks in a restraunt and you end up sitting in the car vomitting into a plastic bag you've dug up from under the seat....so tread softly with the drinks. I can down a half bottle of wine no problem, but watch out for that too...I've heard our livers have to work like 5X harder to process alcohol now that are entire intestines aren't helping out in the process. -Kim open RNY 7/17/01 -152lbs

Parrot Bay coconut rum or Malibu coconut rum with pineapple juice and orange juice is really good. You can also go to lowcarboutfitters.com and order Splenda-sweetened Baja Bob's drink mixers.....they have margarita, strawberry daquiri, whiskey sour, and pina colada mixers.....they are REALLY good....I've also found these locally in Ann Arbor, Michigan at the Vitamin Outlet on Eisenhower.

I don't dump - so it's hard to answer your question. But from what I've read, red wine is the best because it has the least amount of sugar.
