Question:
My physician wants me to spend the week after surgery closer to him.

I live three hours away from the hospital and my doctor. He has asked that I spend the week following surgery nearer to his office just in case I should have any problems. I live in rural Maine and my doctor wants me closer. I will be staying at a Motel with a kitchen area and could use any suggestion that might make my stay more comfortable. What should I have with me the first week after surgery beside lots of juices and water etc. Thanks for any helpful suggestions.    — Mary B. (posted on October 3, 2000)

I would get some diet sprite or 7 up and open it now takes 4-5 days to get flat. Weight Watchers has some good bullion. The most important thing is some 3 oz dixie cups to make your suger free jello in, the dixie cups make excellent individual servings and some fat free popsicles will taste yummy tooo. Good Luck!!

Good Morning, Just a suggestion, have you posted for an Angel in that area? Maybe you could also ask for someone who would let you stay with them, that has had the surgery done, if I lived closer I would let you come stay with me, instead of being along, but, you have to beable to state your needs and give people a chance to reach back and out to help. God knows what you need, and he may want to give someone a chance to give back for what they have received. Just a suggestion. Love and Prayers, Linda
