Question:
Not a pouch or gastric bypass pain--left side pain by hip

I have pain on my left side. Doctor did a Upper GI to check on bypass and sutujres and everything is fine. Problem is I still have the pain. It increases with exercise or walking, sometimes after eating or drinking soup--though not so much now--I am scheduled for a CAT scan after I can get the barium out of my body--on the ex-lax road right now--what could it be? I have an incisional hernia but it isn't interfering with my bowel patterns. Could it be another hernia, or maybe my ovary? Anyone else have this problem?    — dill P. (posted on March 14, 2004)

I'm also having left side pain. It's been there about 2 weeks. It's just a nagging pain that doesn't go away. I have no idea what it is coming from. I also have wondered if it could be ovary related. I haven't contacted by Dr. yet. I am curious to know if anyone else has had this. I'm almost a year post-op.

I can't believe this... I am 15 1/2 months out and have been having the same pain (to a T). My surgeon ran a CAT scan and it showed nothing but than he when back in LAP to do some exploring on 7.26.05 and for a hernia and removed scar tissue. I thought this would help but here I am 8.04.05 and I still have left side pain. I also have been on MIRALAX to see if I was just constipated but my bowels are moving...still feel like there is stuff to push out though. I am tired of guessing if anyone finds out what there pain is please let me know!!!!
