Question:
Has anyone used Dr. Naaman, and if so, how would you rate him?

Hello, I am still considering surgery and looking for a surgeon that does lap RNY and that does not have such a long waiting list. So, I found Dr. Naaman and he looks like he does have experience with this Lap surgery. So, I will be driving to Houston, TX. to visit with him on 10/23/01. My question is, has anyone used Dr. Naaman for your Lap or Open RNY and if so, how was your experience and would you recommend him to others? Hi Nora, I did a little research for you. This doctor is in this site's database. Go to the top of any page and click on "find a doc". Next click on #2 "browse the list" and choose Texas. You will get a list of surgeons in this state. Next to Dr. Naaman's name click on "view comments" and you will first get a listing of insurance companies that have paid for surgery with this doc. Continue scrolling and you will come to a list of patient comments. I find this very interesting. Included with each comment is the member's name (with link to their profile) and their e-mail address. After reading the comments maybe you could e-mail them your specific questions. Hope this helps. Hi! Dr. Naaman performed my surgery on April 4, 2001. I will NEVER forget this day for as long as I lived! I have lost 106 pounds since that date, have had NO complications, and am feeling wonderful!!! I highly recommend him. Dr. Naaman and his staff are terrific and his nurse is great!! I enjoy going for my check up visits because they are all so positive to be around. I had my surgery with him after a friend of mine recommended him, and my friend has lost 130 pounds since November! Good luck - I know this is a difficult decision.

I had surgery with Dr. Naaman on Oct. 1. I went great! The doc is great along with the staff. My wife did not care for the bedside manner of Dr. Naaman. But I rather have a great surgeon. I only spent 2 days in the hospital rather than the 3 that is normal. Dr. Naaman motto is walk, walk walk.... If you do everything will be fine!
