Question:
Has anyone used Liv-Lite Weight Management Center in Oxford, MS??
My questions is, I have the option of using them instead of waiting until Jan.2003 to use a Dr. here in Birmingham, AL. Has anyone gone out of state to have surgery, what do you do for aftercare....weigh-in's, and what if a problem comes up that you need a Dr. asap....anyone in that situation... — Janet M. I can't answer your question about Liv-Lite but I can answer your question
about going out of state. I flew from Ohio to Louisiana for surgery. The
after care needs to be managed by your pcp so make sure you have a good
one. Mine is great! My program does fly you back to see the surgeon for one
follow up and they say they also fly you back to see the surgeon if you
have any problems. Otherwise, I correspond with my surgeon or his nurse by
phone. They also have an on-line after care program that I use. Hope this

I am using Liv-Lite in Oxford. They are wonderful. The ladies there,
Becky Wilson and Rhiannon really know their stuff. They get your insurance
approval and then its pretty quick. I see the doctor on the 3rd of Sept.
and expect surgery in early October. I know two other people who are going
through them and I have heard no complaints at all. Good luck to you!

Hi Janet,
I don't know why you're having to wait until January in Birmingham unless
it's for insurance reasons. I work for a Birmingham hospital/surgeon and
will be happy to help you through the process locally if you'd prefer to
stay in town. It shouldn't take anywhere near that long. Let me know if I
can do anything for you.

Hi there. My husband and I both had surgery with Dr. King thru Liv-Lite.
We live in Huntsville and drive the 4 hours there for our post ops and
such. If you have a problem, call the office and they will tell you what
to do. Whether to go to your PCP or the hospital. The doctor on duty at
the hospital will generally consult with your surgeon. If you have any
questions about them, please feel free to email me personally. We had
surgery July 24th and are down 33lbs so far. I hope you get the answers
that you need.

I used Liv-Lite and Dr King in Oxford. All I can say is that he is AMAZING.
Both he and his staff! I did have a problem (not WLS related) when I was 3
months out and he IMMEDIATLY was right on top it. I live at the ALA and Ms
line but I can telly ou I would not consider using anyone other than Dr
King. If ya wanna talk lemme know.

I am using LIV-LITE in Oxford. I have my first consultation in September.
They have a wonderful staff is what I have been told by many. They see you
pretty fast. My surgery should be in October.
