This doctor is in the database of this website. Go to the top of any page and click on "find a doc". Next click on #2 "browse the list". Choose your state, FL. You will then get a listing of surgeons in this state. Dr. Haicken is listed. If you click on "view comments", you will first see a listing of insurance companies that have approved surgery with this doctor. Next is a section of patient comments. I find them very interesting. Included with each comment is the member's name (with link to their profile) and e-mail address. Maybe you could e-mail them your specific questions? Hope this helps. Shelley

I had surgery with him recently and I think his skill as a surgeon is very good. I have done excellent. Though, I felt a little rushed when I met him, and I did not really get to see him but 2 short times in the hospital. His partner, Dr. Balko filled in for him, and was nice.They have a new nurse practitioner, whom I have met a couple times, and I am still getting to know her. I think they have a few things to iron out, and some office staff personalities need to be more welcoming, but all in all, I have done well, though I like a friendly staff too.

My surgeon will be Dr Haickens. I'm still doing al the pre-surgery stuff. I have not met him yet. But his office has been very nice, his NP is very understanding. I think I'm going to like him just fine. I went to one of his group meetings and everyone had good things to say about him. I can't wait to meet him.
