Question:
Breast Pain Stabbing Pain

I am currently 2 weeks post op and I have discovered a severe pain or stabbing pain in my left breast. This is not under the breast or anything it is on the top portion. Could this be a pulled muscle? Should I worry about it? I know that I am going to call my doctor on Monday.    — Melissa F. (posted on November 9, 2003)

I had similar symptoms after my first c-section and didn't know if it was the anesthesia, normal "milk" stuff or what.... however, the symptoms sound scary. I would call the on-call doctor at your surgeon's office and describe your symptoms and get an opinon, as it could be related to lungs, etc. Please call and check - just to put your mind at ease. Hope you feel better!

Call your surgeon ASAP...could be a pulled muscle, but always call your surgeon when something doesn't feel right. Kim open RNY 7/17/01 282/140/125
